What small business can you open?

Before answering the question, it makes sense to refer to the analysis of existing statistics in order to understand what the small business of Russia is and what its structure is. In fact, this is important for the general perception of industry trends and competition levels in a small business sector.

Small business - Not only the economic but also the legal category, since what types and forms of activity should be classified as small businesses, are governed by Russian law. Since 2008, the following criteria have been used for placing enterprises and individual entrepreneurs in small businesses:

Average annual number of employees. Up to 100 persons, including small businesses, and up to 15 persons, for microenterprises (including).
Delivery of goods and services without VAT. Up to 400 million roubles for small businesses and up to 60 million roubles for microenterprises. Re-examined once every five years using the previous period ' s complete statistics.
Balance of assets. The Government ' s ruling on this issue does not yet exist.

Statistics of Russian small business

According to the National Institute for Systemic Research on Entrepreneurship, as of 1 July 2012, more than 238,000 small enterprises had been registered in Russia by mid-2012, with an increase of 3 per cent over the past year. A total of 166, 5 enterprises are registered per 100,000 population, an increase of 5 units in 2011. The number of micro-enterprises, according to Rosstta at the end of 2011, surpassed 1,4 million legal entities, with no more than 1 million active.
